📖 Game Description

Tendo is a deceptively simple yet notoriously difficult logic game. It features a 10x10 empty grid. At the bottom of the screen, three random geometric shapes (similar to Tetris pieces like L-shapes, T-shapes, squares, and lines) appear.

Your task is to drag these blocks onto the grid. When any horizontal row or vertical column is completely filled, it clears and awards points. Unlike Tetris, there is no gravity; blocks do not fall. You must manually place them anywhere they fit.
The game continues as long as there is space for new blocks. The moment a new block cannot fit into the remaining gaps, it's Game Over.

⚔️ Gameplay Mechanics

The freedom of placement hides a brutal mechanic:

  1. The "3-Block" Refresh Cycle:
    • You are given 3 blocks at a time.
    • You must place all three before the game refreshes and gives you the next batch.
    • This forces you to deal with awkward shapes you might not want, rather than just picking the easy ones.
  2. Combo System:
    • Clearing multiple rows or columns in a single move rewards exponential points.
  3. Sudden Death:
    • <span class="ng-star-inserted" <the="" thrill="" lies="" in <="" span="">>strong class="ng-star-inserted">unpredictability. You don't know what's coming next. If you clutter the board too much and the game suddenly hands you a massive 3x3 square or a 5-unit line, and you have no space for it, the game ends instantly. </span>

💡 Strategy & Guide

Novices score hundreds; masters score thousands. Here is the difference:

  • Always Save Space for Titans: The biggest threats are the 3x3 Big Square and the 5-unit Line. Always ensure there is at least one area on the board open enough to accommodate these giants. Never fragment your empty space too much.
  • Sequence Matters: You don't have to place the 3 given blocks in left-to-right order! Simulate the moves: "If I place Block A first, will it block the spot for Block B?" Generally, place the largest/most awkward block first, and use small blocks to fill cracks later.
  • Don't Clear Immediately: Sometimes, clearing a single line is a trap. If clearing that line splits your empty space into two useless small halves, don't do it. Wait until you can clear lines without ruining your board structure.
  • Play the Edges: Try to keep the center of the board open. Build from the corners or edges inward. A cluttered center makes placing large shapes impossible.

🏆 Editor's Recommendation

Why is Tendo the ultimate time-killer?

  1. A Perfect "Zen" Experience: No timers, no rushing. You can stare at the board for 5 minutes planning one move. It is perfect for players seeking mental peace amidst chaos.
  2. Infinite Replayability: The random nature of the blocks ensures no two games are alike. The "just one more try to beat my high score" factor is incredibly strong.
  3. Mental Gymnastics: It demands zero reflexes but 100% logic. It trains your Spatial Visualization and Forward Thinking. After a session, your brain feels exercised and organized.
